The A Bit of Home Scarf is the most personal piece in this collection - a hand-drawn gathering of different symbols that have lived in my work for years, alongside some that are making their first appearance here. Story

On this 90cm x 90cm 100% silk twill scarf: a bottle of Buckfast. A hurley and sliotar. An Irish punt coin and a euro coin — the before and the after of Ireland. A Hot Chicken Roll for €2.50 (god be with the days). A Claddagh ring. A Celtic cross. A pair of takkies hanging off a line. A St. Brigid's cross. My own version of Kerrygold. An Irish coffee, because it was invented in Foynes, County Limerick, and that deserves to be said louder? I mean how cool. A rosary beads — the one that lived on every grandmother's nightstand. A road sign for Shannon Airport, for the generations that left and for the ones who watched them go. An Irish harp. A salmon, for the fishermen and for the Salmon of Knowledge we grew up hearing about. And a post box from outside Kilmainham Gaol — still bearing the British crown — because history does not disappear just because we stop talking about it. Stars scatter through the composition, holding space between the symbols. Hints of what is still to come from this brand.
