This brand new, fine art print is of one of Limerick's most loved landmarks, Costello's Tavern Pub. If you've ever lived, worked or studied in Limerick, then you've heard of Costello's. The currently closed pub was the venue of choice for many in Limerick, and was the first place that Mary would want to go to cheer friends on during a round of beer pong or jaunt upstairs to the sticky carpets to have a dance alongside the famous wall mural. While we hope this beloved pub opens its doors again, this print will gladly sit on our wall as a reminder.

Story

When designing Mary's iconic Limerick Toile de Jouy print, Costello's was one of the first landmarks the designer lovingly chose to include. The hand drawn illustration was created over many hours with tender attention to detail to recreate a common night out in Costello's; featuring a queue of people waiting to proudly give Flan a fiver for entry. The man himself is drawn sitting inside the doorway upon his stool, waiting to greet everyone with a smile and a laugh. The details in the illustration perfectly capture the care and respect that went into creating it. This print is sure to add a touch of nostalgia to any wall, especially for the Irish with a Limerick connection living abroad.
